Anti-Asian racism is not new in the history of the United States, but I think its visibility-through social media, news platforms, and things like that-really ignited a sense of: Who are we? What is our identity? What is our place here in the United States? Why did you write this book, and why now?Īs Asian Americans, we have been through such a trying few years.
